Rani Gets Jealous To Kunal And Amisha’s Closeness!
The latest buzz around Bollywood is the close friendship of director Kunal Kholi and gorgeous actress Amisha Patel is giving top name Rani Mukherjee the jitters…. Rani feels that Amisha is trying to steal the limelight from her.
Initially, Amisha’s role in Kunal Kholi’s latest flick “Thoda Pyaar thoda Magic” was supposed to be only a guest appearance. However, because of her closeness with the director Kunal, her role has been extended; and now Amisha is being promoted as one of the leading ladies in the movie. This is not going down well with Rani Mukherjee, who was hopping to make this movie all her own.
According to souces, “Kunal seems to be taken in by Amisha’s soft nature and even fought with Aditya Chopra to get the Amisha’s role extended in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (TPTM). And he has made her look stunning hot and sexy in the movie, unlike Rani, who’s looking uninspired. The effort and care that has gone in to Amisha’s role is very apparent”.
Meanwhile, when Rani notice Amisha promoting the movie as her own; she immediately went to her boy friend Aditya Chopra who is the producer of film as well, and demanded Amisha back off. Aditya then told Kunal to put the breaks on Amisha or else he will never be allowed to work for Yash Raj Films again.
According to related news, there are reports that Amisha Patel has split from boyfriend Kannav puri, because of her alleged new-found love for Kunal Kholi. Well, Amisha spokesperson says, “Kunnav and Amisha have not broken up”; and adds that she does not want to comment on Amisha’s close friendship with Kunal Kholi.
Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic Review
Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Amisha Patel and four kids. Amisha Patel's is more of a special appearance than a full fledged role; she has a song and a few dialogues. TPTM is directed by Kunal Kohli, who has directed movies like "Mujhse Dosti Karogi", "Hum Tum" and "Fanaa". His last 2 movies were super hits; can he deliver a hat trick?
Ranbeer Talwar (Saif Ali Khan), one of the country's top industrialists, is a loner, not by choice, but because he lost everyone he ever loved. He is now faced with a very peculiar and uncomfortable situation. In a rare and landmark court verdict, he is to look after 4 orphan children. The orphans hate him and want revenge from him. The children do not want to live with a man they hate; he too cannot face them or look them in the eye for certain reasons. Their life together is very unhappy, one day they pray to God for help and he does help them. He sends his most mischievous, childlike, lovable angel to the rescue, with a mission to bring Ranbeer and the kids together. Geeta (Rani Mukerji) comes bicycling down a rainbow... and bursts into Ranbeer's house as the self-proclaimed new nanny.
And then starts the roller coaster ride of fun, emotions, magic and love.
"Hum Tum" was a fun movie. "Fanaa" was brilliant in parts. Now with TPTM, Kunal Kohli has managed to pull off a kiddo film. The execution of the thin, almost non-existent plotline is good... The problem with TPTM is the first half, its slow at times, takes a long time to gather momentum and picks up only after interval. The kids would enjoy the first half, a lot of SFX and a few lessons here and there for the kids, while the second half has a bit in it for everyone, a spicy hot song shot on Amisha Patel and Saif Ali Khan (Lazy Lamhe), romance and a lot of fun.
Music of TPTM doesn't match previous Kunal Kohli movies, Nihaal Ho Gayi is good. Rani Mukherji wears only one dress throughout the movie! Her performance in the second half of TPTM is good. Saif Ali Khan is brilliant throughout, a restrained, powerful performance. The kids do well; the Paanchvi Paas girl is adorable. Amisha Patel is HOT HOT HOT. Rishi Kapoor doesn't have much scope, he looks very old, and the French beard just doesn't suit him.
To sum things up, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic is a fun movie. It's strongly recommended for kids, the rest, do give it a try.

Aditya Chopra Impressesd by Amisha Patel
Amisha got in shape for her cameo in ‘Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’, insiders reveal that the actress has impressed Aditya Chopra with her dedication and talent. Aditya however ignored Rani and offered Amisha two more movies, Miss Patel couldn’t believe her ears when Aditya offered her a movie opposite Ranbir Kapoor which will be directed by ‘Bunty aur Babli’ director Shaad Ali. Amisha is on cloud nine as her career seems to be on the right track and the movie ‘Thoda Pyaar has done some Big Magic’ for the actress who sure can enjoy her success and some ‘Lazy Lamhe’ too.
Sources disclose that after seeing the rough cut of “Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’ Aditya was so taken aback by Amisha’s performance that he couldn’t stop praising her, Rani who was there at the showing was not too happy about this.

Aditya Chopra prompted Amisha Patel's 'Billo Barber' pullout
Amisha Patel's surprise pull out from Shah Rukh Khan's Billo Barber, days before production was due to start, surprised industry watchers, because Amisha was nearly out of work at that time.
A source now tells us that her withdrawal was prompted by her new mentor in the industry - Aditya Chopra.
Despite having opened her career with two block buster films opposite A-list stars - Kaho Naa…Pyar Hai (2000) with Hrithik Roshan and Gadar Ek Prem Katha (2001) with Sunny Deol, Amisha's career floundered.
Lately, she has been in the news for all the wrong reasons - her estranged relationship with her parents and actor brother, Ashmit Patel; her break up with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, and now her romance with Kanav Puri. Amisha's only A-list film in hand is Yash Raj's co-production with Kunal Kohli, Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, which is due for release on June 27.
"Just as this film was nearing completion, Aditya took up the responsibility of resurrecting Amisha's down-in-the-dumps career on himself," our source tells us.
"He signed her up for two more films under his Yash Raj banner and started guiding her career moves in Bollywood. One of the most important instruction he gave her was not to sign anymore films that featured her in small inconsequential roles.
"Amisha was confirmed to play Irrfan Khan's wife in Billo Barber. She was excited abut the film despite her short role in it, because there was an opportunity to do a few scenes with King Khan. But Aditya was not willing to let his leading lady do such an insignificant part, and he told Amisha as much.
"Without wasting any time, Amisha told Priyadarshan that she was withdrawing. The Billo Barber producers, who had already faced a tough time finding their Barber's wife, were left helpless. Luckily for them, Lara Dutta stepped in.
"Thesedays, Amisha cannot hide her excitement over the special attention that she is getting from the Yash Raj scion. However, it is making Rani Mukerji a little insecure, because she only has the Yash Raj banner and special friend Aditya to fall back upon, now that her market value has plummeted," the source adds saucily.
Amisha Patel under the Yash Raj Banner for 2 More Films
Rani Mukherji plays the lead in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic just for a name now because, it is Amisha Patel, who plays the second lead in the film, who has taken away all the kudos from producer Aditya Chopra. And this even before the release of the film.
According to our source, she has managed to impress Adi so much that he has offered her two more films under the YRF banner. And no, this new development has not gone down too well with Adi’s favourite heroine, Rani.
Apparently Amisha will star in the film to be directed by Shaad Ali, for which Ranbir Kapoor has already been signed on in the lead role.
Our source says, “A trial of the film was held a couple of days ago and Aditya Chopra professed great satisfaction with Amisha’s performance - although Amisha does not play the lead role. The lead role of the film is played by Rani Mukherji. Adi was so impressed by Amisha’s performance that he complimented her heartily and told her that she would also be part of two more Yash Raj films. Naturally, Amisha is elated.
But Rani is not very happy about this. Of late, Rani has been behaving like the boss of the YRF Studios. Naturally she is upset and feeling a trifle insecure.”
The source further says, “Rani is also unhappy that in spite of her being the leading lady, there is more focus in the media on Amisha - set off by rumours of a link-up between director Kunal Kohli and Amisha.”Wednesday, June 18, 2008
Ameesha Is Hot innocent Face Of Bollywood !
And you can be sure she’s received another message on her mobile complimenting her on the way she’s looking in the song Lazy Lamhe in Kunal Kohli’s Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.
Though it’s just a teaser, the shot of Ameesha romancing Saif Ali Khan in a yellow bikini top and skirt has got men drooling over her hot bod! Ask her about it and the grin gets wider, “I have been inundated by phone calls and messages from people who I’ve not spoken to in years. It’s like they have suddenly woken up and are asking, ‘Ameesha, is that really you?’ I’ve been told I’m looking hot, smokin’ hot, pipin’ hot, smoulderin’ hot! It makes me sound like I’m something being cooked over fire and I’m going to melt and evaporate!” And what’s her reaction to all these reactions? “I’m dissolving in them!” she laughs.
The song was shot in Alibaug over 15 days, Ameesha says. “I had to take lessons in scuba diving as huge chunks of the song were shot under water. I had to train to be under water without an oxygen tank, to ensure that I hear the speaker and follow the song, keep my expressions intact, my eyes open, to lip sync without bubbles, AND to look hot at the same time!” Well, looking hot seems to be the least of her worries these days. But Ameesha is quick to point out that she’s always been pretty consistent when it comes to her figure. “I’ve been working out for a while but didn’t allow people to see that I’m toned and fit. It’s not like I suddenly lost weight or anything. Post Gadar, people just chose to put me in saris and salwar kameezes. This is after a long time that people are seeing a glamorous Ameesha,” she explains.
With Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and two other films — Chatur Singh Two Star with Sanjay Dutt and Do Lucky with Govinda, Ameesha seems to be on a roll. She isn’t in the mood to analyse what went wrong after Humraaz. “You win some, you lose some. End of the day, you’re like a mountaineer, you’ve to climb valleys, reach the peaks, come down and start again,” she philosophises. One thing Ameesha would like to do, is to work with her first co-star Hrithik Roshan again. “Everywhere I go, people tell me we really complemented each other. I hope some script comes along that uses both of us well,” she says.
After the lull in her career, she’s looking forward to 2008. One more reason for this is the man in her life — businessman Kanav Puri — with whom she shares a long-distance relationship. “All I can say is that personally and professionally, I’m in a complete state of bliss. I want to envelope life, hug it with as much dedication as I’ve given to my work,”she says and there’s that grin again!

Amisha Patel: Back with a Bang?
Those who have written the pretty actor Amisha Patel off, may have acted a bit too soon. It's true that after a magnanimous beginning in the form of Kaho Na Pyar Hai and Gadar, Amisha today is nowhere in the picture. But she'll be seen in the 'pictures' soon enough.
Her weight loss and ensuing sexy avatar will be exposed in Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic . And only recently, the girl started shooting for director Ajay Chandok's Chatur Singh Two Stari also starring Sanjay Dutt . The first day of shoot, june 9, coincided with Amisha's birthday. The actor couldn't have asked for a better start for her project, where the unit members celebrated her big day, and Patel was surfeit with nostalgia.
Ami celebrated her birthday twice on the sets of Gadar which went on to become one of the biggest hits. But then, she celebrated her big day on the sets of Aap Muje Ache Lagne Lage as well. Remember that one? We won't blame you, if you don't!
