Amisha Patel forgives Kareena Kapoor

While Saif and Kanav bonded at Tusshar Kapoor's bash, their ladyloves, kept their distance from each other

Building Bridges: Ameesha Patel and Kanav Puri going to Tusshar Kapoor's party. Kareena Kapoor and Ameesha Patel have shared cold vibes ever since Ameesha replaced Kareena in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.
At that time, an angry Kareena had made potshots like, "Hrithik's dad spent five hours on every frame and close-up of his son, whereas not even five seconds were spent on Ameesha. There are portions in the film where she has pimples and under-eye bags on her face.

If I were in the film, I would have definitely got a better deal, but I still feel that the attention would have been divided between us. So, I'm glad I didn't do the film."

Though the two actresses met at events over the years, Ameesha and Kareena never warmed up to each other. So when both met on Friday night at Tusshar Kapoor's party at his Juhu bungalow, the vibes were thanda to say the least.

Says an eye-witness, "Kareena and Saif had already arrived and were seen chatting with people when Ameesha and Kanav arrived with a gang of friends after Kanav's birthday party.

Kanav and Saif know each other well so when they met each other, they started chatting like long-lost friends. But though Bebo and Ameesha exchanged cordial greetings they didn't speak at all after that. Their vibes were freezing."

Ameesha says, "I have no problems with Kareena and will always be polite to her though it's true we didn't chat but just exchanged hellos.

I am very fond of Saif who is extremely well-mannered, a thorough gentleman and a gem of a person. He's also a friend of Kanav's as Kanav and Soha used to study at the same school in Delhi.

So when Kanav and Saif met up again at Tusshar's party, both got along like a house on fire. Last year, when Saif and I were shooting for Lazy Lamhe and Saif and Kareena were dating, Saif had wanted to do something special for her so I went out of my way to accommodate him and wind up early. I even attended the music launch of Refugee.

I don't belong to camps nor am I part of industry battles. I know Kareena earlier said that she hadn't given as big flops as I had but I don't hold anything against her for saying those things about me."

Ameesha adds that she would love to do a film with Bebo if offered. "If we are offered good roles together I would love to act with her. It's immature to hold grudges.I forgive Kareena for all the negative things she said about me. Even then, when she had said them, I didn't retaliate.I know five years later when we are both married and I am sitting with Kanav and three chubby kids in London all these fights and patch-ups will sound so silly and immature.I have not been brought up to snub people or be nasty to them. Nor do I believe in catfights or holding grudges. I am not here to make friends and enemies in the film industry. The only true friends that I have here are Sanju and Maanayata and for me, that's enough.'

Amisha Patel now in SRK'S upcoming movie - Billoo Barber

Shahrukh Khan is collaborating with top directors Priyadarshan for a comedy flick titled Billoo Barber featuring Amisha Patel, Irfan Kahan ans Shahrukh Khan.

This film is inspired from the Krishna - Sudama episode and remake of Malayalam film Katha Parayumbol. The film about two child hood friend - a barber and a rich filmstar. Shahrukh is playing a rich filmstar while Irfan his barber friend who married Amisha. Amisha will have some scenes with SRK. We have also seen them in some sequence in Om Shanti Om.

Amisha Patel and her beau Kanav Puri have been in splits ever since an e-mail has been in circulation since last week alleging Kanav's 'gay' preferences. The couple feels some- one is deliberately trying to create mischief by doing so. The e-mail sent by one Natasha Rodrigues reads, "Recently, I came across this article about actress Amisha Patel's London-based businessman boyfriend Kanav Puri on the internet. This is an article which was printed on the internet in July, 2004 before he and Amisha fell hopelessly in love.

This is the true picture of Kanav who is a gay or may be now is a bisexual since he met Amisha and is now seeing her. Maybe Amisha is just a front for him to keep his parents happy as he is their only son and the heir to their business empire." The actress says, "Kanav and me were highly entertained by the article. It livened up a really dull day! This whole gay thing is hilarious! Trust me, Kanav is not gay. I should know," she giggles and adds, "We are intrigued that someone is so obsessed with us, knows things about both us, that even we don't. It was very entertaining. Vikram (Bhatt) has never been to Wharton; forget about studying there."
The e-mail further states, " Amisha Patel dumped poor Vikram Bhatt after he supported her for three years. Her parents had emptied her bank accounts and left her without anything. Vikram gave her shelter, care, food, understanding, expensive gifts, diamonds and exquisite holidays abroad, taking her out to various restaurants and protection and that is what he got in return. When Amisha's professional life and personal too with Vikram was on track, she bought a 4BHK penthouse and another 2 BHK house, one in Hyderabad too and all the frills that go with it."

Ameesha says, "The girl seems to know more than me. Vikram's a sweet chap and a good friend. I had bought the 4BHK penthouse five years ago when I was dating Vikram. In fact, Vikram's mom had arranged for the pandit who did the griha- pravesh for the flat. It is me and only me who supports myself. Whatever I own today is through my hard work.

By God's grace, I have the ability to and have always been financially independent. Vikram has never given me expensive gifts. But my other friends and he emotionally supported me when I didn't have a dime to my name. I don't need anybody to support myself. Anyways this is all too petty to even discuss."

The last allegation made against Kanav in the e-mail says, "Wonder how you guys have not dug out any info about his past and the fact that he was seeing one Priya Sachdev Chatwal who is now married to Vikram Chatwal?" Amisha says in her forthright manner, "If Kanav was dating Priya, big deal! I knew that. Even I was seeing Vikram at some point. Kanav and I have always been honest in our relationships, including our past ones and don't see any reason to hide them."

Amisha Patel's boyfriend Kanav Puri leaves for London in a couple of months. The actress is in deep distress and is currently indulging in comfort food with her grand-mother in Pune. Says Amisha, wistfully, "The thought of Kanav going back in January and not coming back for almost a year is very depressing. He was setting up office in Mumbai for stuff in London and now that's nearly done, he's going back in January. This year, we could meet up a lot as he was travelling all over the world from Dubai to Hong Kong and we could meet up anywhere but now it will be really difficult to meet."

When will they meet up? Amisha says, "We can either meet during weekends if I am shooting in Europe or Dubai or I will use all my time travelling to London whenever I am free. Our relationship is very strong. I am taking this to be a long-distance courting period."
Amisha and Kanav celebrate their anniversary on the 27th of every month(that's the date they first met last December). "If we are in the same city, Kanav will do something very special like send me my favorite flowers or we will talk on the phone. He's very cute and special. I remember our first meeting when we met through a common friend. It was 30-second meeting and then we didn't meet for 8 months after that. Ours has always been a long-distance romance. In fact we decided we wanted to be together over the phone but I guess I lucked out."

Amisha is in Pune spending time with her grand- mother. "My grandmother and I have been gorging on Ferrero Rocher chocolate cakes and mint chocolates. When we are together, we eat like gluttons; after which, I head for the gyms in Mumbai for a thorough workout. I don't believe in starving myself but getting fitter and healthier and having a good toned body. People say I am glowing but I think love has also got a lot to do with it! Kanav is so young at heart and full of life!"
